burning calories for weight loss?

they say that 3500 calories = 1 pound. But my question is: do you need to burn 3500 calories to lose that pound, or just consume less calories than the daily 2000? or say you lose 300 calories per day from exercise and you eat 1000 calories per day, would that also count towards your cutback from the 3500? TXS!!
what i mean is do you need to burn them through exercise? or will eating less calories count too?

One pound of body fat contains approximately 3,500 calories. This means that, in order to burn 1 pound of fat, you must have a calorie deficit of 3,500 calories. Therefore, to lose 1 pound of fat per week, you need to have a 500 calorie deficit each day.

That deficit can come from eating 500 fewer calories per day, it can come from exercising and burning an extra 500 calories per day, or any combination of the two. The key is to use 500 more calories per day than you eat through diet and/or exercise to get your 3500 calorie deficit for the week.

Can You Lose Weight Using Laxatives

How to fast for 2 days, and get maximum results? (lose a lot of weight)

let me start off by saying that I know fasting is unhealthy and I know that it doesn’t help you lose weight long term
I understand that eating healthy and daily exercise is what helps you lose weight and/or maintain your weight
I generally watch what I eat and I do my best to get some exercise into my daily routine,
I’m not “fat”
but I do have a special occasion coming up and I’d like to try fasting
I’ve never done this before
so I’m seeking advice
How would you go about a 2 day fast
and how can I make sure I get maximum results, meaning I lose as much weight possible
and how do I make sure it doesn’t instantly come back?
What I don’t want to do is go out and buy some expensive shakes or something
just a simple fast i can do at home
would using laxatives or drinking prune juice so you can get the “runs” work?

oh and how do you ease hunger pains?

any helpful tips are greatly appreciated

Using laxitives will take pounds off, but not size. It just empties your colon, it does NOT help you lose fat. The scale will show the loss of weight, but your figure will be NO different.

Lose that idea!

Actualy, lose the whole idea. Just be yourself.

Oh, and you DON’T get to make sure it doesn’t instantly come back.

It will.

Because it will be almost all water and poop weight that you lose. You’ll put yourself through this, and get NO visible results.

Doing this would be stupid. Please don’t be stupid.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full.
